Geneva WM hires new fund manager from BCGE

Geneva-based wealth management firm Bruellan has hired a fund manager, Citywire Switzerland has learned.

Anick Baud-Woodtli will manage two equity strategies, the Bruellan Dynamic Swiss Equities and the Protea BAM European Equities funds, alongside the firm’s CIO, Florian Marini. She will also be responsible for segregated equity mandates for institutional clients.

Baud previously worked at Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE) for more than 16 years, where she managed the Synchrony (LU) Swiss Small & Mid Caps and the Synchrony Small & Mid Caps funds.

Prior to that, she worked at Fiduciary Trust and Banque SCS Alliance. She was rated by Citywire for the first time in 2016.

Talking to Citywire Switzerland, Baud said: ‘I am specialised in the small and mid-cap segments in Switzerland. Whereas our CIO is more in the momentum strategy, my strategy relates more to fundamentals. We will work together to find the best mix and adequate strategy.’

‘After 16 years, I needed a new challenge,’ she said of leaving BCGE. ‘Entering a smaller business structure, discovering an innovative approach of working with positive energy and flexibility were the main aspects and reasons for this plunge.’
